Built for patients and Google

What it is

A Website Built for Your Patients

Good medical website design does one job well: it helps a patient decide to call or book. That means clear services, easy contact options, fast loading on a phone and pages Google can understand.

Many practice websites are slow, hard to use on mobile and vague about what the practice treats. Patients leave, and search engines rank them lower.

We design and build websites for practices that are easy to use, easy to update and ready for SEO from day one. Good web design for healthcare also means simple, privacy-minded contact forms and pages that load fast on a phone.

What Patients Look For on a Practice Website

Most patients visit a practice website with two questions. Can this practice help me, and how do I book? A good site answers both in a few seconds.

  • What you treat, in plain words, on its own service page
  • Which insurance plans you accept, kept up to date
  • Your address, hours, parking and a map for each location
  • Who the providers are, with photos, training and languages spoken
  • A phone number patients can tap and a short request form
  • What to bring and what to expect at the first visit

We plan every site around those questions first. Design comes second. That order keeps pages short, clear and easy to scan on a phone.

Cost

How Much Does Medical Website Design Cost?

Medical website design cost depends on a few things: how many pages you need, whether you need online booking or a patient portal link, how much content has to be written and whether photos are included.

  • Page count. A simple site has a handful of pages. A multi-location, multi-service site has many more.
  • Features. Booking links, forms, blogs and portal integration add scope.
  • Content. Writing new service and location pages takes time, but it drives SEO.
  • Ongoing care. Updates, security and hosting are ongoing costs to plan for.

Site structure

Pages Every Medical Practice Website Needs

A clear structure helps patients find the right page fast. It also helps Google understand what you offer and where.

  • A home page that says who you help and where you are
  • One page for each main service or condition you treat
  • One page for each location, with address, hours and map
  • Provider pages with credentials, photos and specialties
  • Insurance and new patient information
  • A contact page with phone, form and directions
  • A privacy policy and an accessibility statement

Each page gets one clear job and one main search term. When you add a service or open a new office, the site grows by adding a page, not by rebuilding.

Compliance

Healthcare Rules We Follow

Practice websites handle sensitive information. We build with privacy and accessibility in mind.

  • Contact forms ask only for what is needed and warn visitors not to include health details.
  • Tracking tools are set up so patient health information is not shared with advertising platforms.
  • Pages follow accessibility best practices for readable text and navigation.
  • Every page is reviewed by your practice before launch.
Speed and access

Speed, Mobile Use and Accessibility

Core Web Vitals

Google measures page experience with three Core Web Vitals. Largest Contentful Paint shows how fast the main content loads, and 2.5 seconds or less counts as good. Interaction to Next Paint tracks how quickly a page responds, with 200 milliseconds or less as good. Cumulative Layout Shift checks that the page does not jump around, with 0.1 or less as good.

We build with compressed images, clean code and few plugins. Then we test every page template before launch.

Accessibility

Patients with low vision or limited mobility need to use your site too. We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with readable contrast, alt text, keyboard access and clear form labels.

This is also a compliance issue. HHS rules under Section 504 require many health care providers that receive federal financial assistance to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. After a 2026 extension, the deadline is May 11, 2027 for providers with 15 or more employees and May 11, 2028 for smaller ones.
